Three kinds of life insurance, explained without the jargon.
For the years your family depends on you most.
You pick a length of time, such as 10, 20 or 30 years. If you pass away during that term, your beneficiaries receive the payout. Because the policy doesn't build cash value, premiums are usually the lowest of the three types.
Cover that stays with you, whatever your age.
Whole life lasts as long as you do, as long as premiums are paid. Premiums stay level, and part of what you pay builds a cash value you can borrow against later.
A smaller policy for the costs no one plans for.
A modest lifetime policy sized to cover funeral costs, medical bills and small debts, so your family isn't left paying them out of pocket.

A small team that believes life insurance should make sense to the people who buy it.
Aiden Akam started Caliber Life three years ago to help people stay protected, with coverage that's explained in plain language instead of buried in fine print.
Since then, we've helped numerous families put real protection in place and plan for the future with confidence.
What hasn't changed is how we work: explain first, sell second, and stay in touch after the paperwork is done.
You'll understand what you're buying, what it costs and what it doesn't cover before you decide anything.
If a smaller or cheaper policy does the job, that's the one we'll recommend.
Your advisor checks in every year and after big life events, like a new home, a new baby or a new job.
We're looking for driven people to build a career helping families get protected. No insurance experience required to start the conversation.
We help you get licensed and walk you through your first sales, so you're never figuring it out alone.
Work around the hours you already have. Many of our agents start part time alongside another job.
Your income is tied to your own effort, not a salary cap. What you build is yours.
